When did you first begin your cosplay Journey?

2004

What do you do for the cosplay community?

I’d like to think that I am a body-positivity role model in the community, representing plus sized women who cosplay. In today’s social climate, plus size women are often the most critiqued, and we have a lot of pressure put on us to look a certain way and conform to beauty standards. I like to push against that, and present myself with my cosplays in a way that celebrates my body and my shape – and hope that I inspire others to do so as well.

What mediums do you use to create your art?

I’m a fabric and textiles sort of person! I really love creating costumes that are focused on sewing and garment construction. I also love to add lots of sparkle to my costumes with rhinestones, beads, and other embellishments.

If you could create a dream project without limits what would it be?

I love the costume designs from the Persona games! I would love to create Ann’s Persona from P5!

Upcoming event you’d like to plug?

I have a few things on the docket for later this year, but I can’t reveal them quite yet – stay tuned for my announcements!

Who are two Cosplayers who inspire you?

Indra Rojas & Yaya Han.

A project you are known for?

My Designer Ursula from 2015!

Your favorite project and why?

I had a lot of fun making my Hannah Alexander Sophie cosplay from Katsucon earlier this year! I focused on creating my own sublimated textiles for all of the materials in the costume, a technique that I have done before but not quite on this scale. I also enjoyed adding all of the rhinestone and embellishments to the bodice and skirt – a long process but it was very therapeutic too! I feel really proud when I wear this costume, and it is super comfortable too!
